As a TRUE Zero Waste Business certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, SGS Produce diverts at least 90% of all materials—including produce, cardboard, and office recyclables—from landfills, incineration, and the environment. Committed to sustainability in every aspect of operations, SGS Produce has achieved an impressive 99% diversion rate to date!

Located in the heart of the Los Angeles produce district, our facility is designed for efficiency and capacity. With expansive wet and dry cold storage, we manage over 1,000 loads and operate 20 truck docks with street-level loading. ![The Shandler family and the entire SGS Produce team are heartbroken by the profound loss of our dear friend and colleague, 𝗝𝗶𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗿.
There are hundreds of memories, meals, and passionate discussions that come to mind when we think of Jim, but his true spirit was one of generosity of heart and knowledge and an amazing ability to connect. He was truly a thought leader in all things Ag, and the industry will not be the same without him. He was a relentless pursuer of innovation, a bottomless wealth of knowledge, and a friend to get lost in conversation with regularly. Jim and Morrie [Shandler] forged a lasting and meaningful relationship built on mutual respect for one another over 30 years ago that was passed on and cherished by Carole, Talia, and Stevie.
His loss is felt deeply, yet the stories, his influence, and how he cared for people remain. He loved his family and was infinitely proud of his two accomplished sons.
